CT Bible study on the Big Story

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 @ 10:20 am

Christianity Today just published a Bible study based on the Big Story, the diagram featured in True Story: A Christianity Worth Believing In. It’s a follow-up to the article they published last July. It’s not free, but for a small fee, you can download it and make up to 1,000 copies for your church or organization.

Hey James, I wanted to thank you so much for signing that copy of your book for me when you bumped into my friend Chris at his church in San Diego the other Sunday! I was chatting with him earlier this year and wondered if he’s met you. He thought that you had been the speaker at an event he attended a couple years ago. He said the message was excellent.

I spoke to him on skype a moment ago and he told me he’d met you. I was thrilled that you knew who I was! Thanks for your thoughtfulness,

    Steve

Hi Steve — it really is a small world! Hopefully we’ll meet in person one day!

Next time I’m down seeing Chris maybe we will get a chance to meet. Or next time you’re in the Toronto area…

I love this presentation. My husband and I serve in Poland with Greater Europe Mission. I really believe that you have communicated the Gospel clearly and in a framework that really makes sense to this generation. Our sons are considering trying to use it (in Polish) for their next youth outreach event. Thanks for your efforts!!

Thanks Karen! Blessings on you and your ministry. And if it gets translated into Polish, I’d love to see it!

Hey James, I just got the book today (Chris forgot to bring it with him this summer). Thanks for your kind words. I’m looking forward to re-reading it. I gave away my original copy of TS to a worker for Campus Crusade who grew up at our church. She works in Quebec on a University campus. I’ll let you know if she has any feedback on how the presentation works in that context. See you!
