Prayer: Finding the Heart’s True Home

This is one of the handful of books that I go to over and over again. This was my fourth read, and this book re-inspires (re-breathe?) a yearning for prayer back into my soul.
Like a zoologist, he walks through the different genuses, orders and phylums of prayer, labeling and studying them, so that our own idea of prayer can grow. In another metaphor, this book gives us a larger vocabulary for prayer, taking it beyond the closing of eyes and the clasping of hands.
For the good of your soul, read again and again.
