Deep Church: A Third Way Beyond Emerging and Traditional

This book does what it intends to do: provide a third way to bring the best of the Traditionals and the Emergents. It does so with fairness and rigor, and is helpful for those engaged in this debate — which isn’t everyone under the evangelical umbrella. I would’ve liked more stories of the third way that don’t come the church that the author leads, but beside that, it feels like a helpful, conciliatory book.
